Acube Developments launches Acube Industries in Umm Al Quwain, aiming for $6.8M revenue by producing premium furnishings
In a strategic move, Acube Developments, a popular name in the UAE real estate sector, has launched Acube Industries—a state-of-the-art interior design and manufacturing facility based in Umm Al Quwain. This venture is set to generate an estimated annual revenue of AED 25 million ($6.8 million) and aims to reinforce the company’s backward integration strategy by enabling direct access to high-quality furnishings and finishes for UAE developers.
Acube Industries will have a production capacity, with monthly outputs ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 doors, 250 fully completed kitchens, and comprehensive furnishing for up to 50 one-bedroom apartments. The facility will produce a wide variety of products, including doors, wardrobes, kitchens, dressing tables, TV cabinets, vanities, ledges, sofas, beds, curtains, and more. Additionally, Acube’s sofa production line will be capable of delivering 200 complete sofa sets per month, which include three-seater, two-seater, single-seater, and coffee table sets. This accelerated production rate promises developers considerable time and cost savings when it comes to furnishing their projects.
According to Ramjee Iyer, Chairman and Managing Director of Acube Developments, “We are excited to launch Acube Industries in the UAE. This facility not only enhances our capabilities but also opens the door for other developers in the region to benefit from our services. With the latest advancements in specialised machinery and technology, we guarantee precision, speed, and cost-effectiveness, ultimately providing immense value to the UAE’s real estate market.”
Acube Industries will house cutting-edge machinery, setting new standards in UAE’s interior manufacturing landscape. The facility will include a planer for solid wood planks up to 120 cm wide with spiral blades, a veneer cutting machine for lengths up to 420 cm, and a veneer splicing machine that can handle thicknesses of up to 3 mm and panel widths of up to 100 cm. A CNC router processes lengths up to 380 cm, while the beam saw enables simultaneous cutting of up to four sheets, each 380 cm long and 72 mm thick. The CNC boring machine, capable of boring on all six sides, allows seamless installation of knock-down (KD) fittings.
Iyer added, “The facility has leading-edge machinery, including a hot wood press that applies 120 tons of pressure and reaches up to 90 degrees Celsius. Additionally, our six-head moulder produces door frames up to 30 cm wide in a single pass. We have very few machines like ours in the GCC, and we are committed to setting a new benchmark for quality and efficiency.”
Aligned with Acube’s commitment to sustainability, the facility will be equipped with eco-friendly production practices and technologies. A powerful dust collector with an 80 cm suction duct and a 55 kW total power capacity will effectively capture wood dust, ensuring cleaner air within the facility. The system’s airflow capacity of 42,000 m³/hour will contribute to a healthier work environment. Also, the factory will feature a skylight system, designed to harness natural daylight and reduce electricity consumption during peak daytime hours, promoting energy efficiency and lowering operational costs.
With a skilled team of over 250 employees, Acube Industries aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality, furnished properties across the UAE.
